Liam Somerville performing music

Hailing from the coastal town of Dunoon, Scotland, Liam Somerville is a singer-songwriter known for his raw, heartfelt sound and cinematic storytelling. Influenced by icons like Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger, and Tom Petty, Liam's music captures the spirit of everyday life — from heartache and hope to restless nights and long drives. His songs often unfold like short films, populated by dreamers, drifters, and outcasts searching for something more.

Liam’s musical journey began in local pubs and community halls, where he honed his craft and built a loyal following. His honest lyricism and commanding live presence led to performances at renowned Scottish venues like King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, Dunoon Burgh Hall, and Queen’s Hall, as well as appearances at festivals such as Gig in the Goil and Stay Fresh Dunoon Music Festival.

In 2021, Liam formed
The Streetlight Band. a powerhouse trio featuring Juergen Kast on keys, Callum Newall on drums, and Collin Adams on bass. Together, they’ve expanded Liam’s sound into something bolder and more dynamic — a fusion of rock, Americana, and soul.

Liam has released three well-received EPs,
Somer Nights,  Death to the Kings and Songs for Superman which earned local radio play and critical praise. His latest work has taken him abroad, including a mini-tour of Germany and regular performances as the house band for the Glasgow Clan VIP suite.

With plans for a full-length album in the works, Liam continues to evolve — always staying true to his roots while reaching for new heights. Whether on stage or in the studio, he delivers music that’s unfiltered, emotionally charged, and unmistakably his own.
